Rally? Rally? What Rally?

I’M FED UP! ARE YOU?

Is it time for a change?

The political parties are destroying our nation right before our eyes. Many of us are wondering how bad will it be by the time the next election rolls around.

But what can we do? We are only allowed to elect the politicians. After that we have no power to call them to account.

This is our government…or it should be. We elect politicians to go into Parliament to represent us. The problem is, they serve their political party first and foremost. If the party sets a policy regardless of what the people want we end up with bad government. A government that is not accountable to We the People is no government at all.

Some people are claiming that our Constitution is broken. It’s not. The seat of the problem is that the political parties are not working under our Constitutional laws. They are being dictated to by the UN, and they are making illegal laws that are hurting this once-great nation by passing Acts of Parliament instead of holding referendums.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all Australians could be united, instead of divided by the political parties as we are now?

So many Australians are frustrated with the way the political system is failing them in so many ways that we constantly hear cries of “Let’s march on Canberra, and toss out the tossers.”

Of course, this is just a dream, but it’s a measure of our frustration with the system we are faced with today.

Even if someone did actually try to mobilize tens of thousands of Aussies to do that, we all know it would be doomed to failure. How many Aussies care enough about the future of our nation to actually drive to Canberra and show the government how tired we are of the way the politicians behave?

Going by the numbers that have turned up to various rallies around the country a huge march on Canberra is obviously just a pipe dream.

But just imagine if tens of thousands of people actually did turn up outside Parliament. What could they do when they arrive? I can’t see any Aussie storming the ramparts like the French stormed the Bastille.

But wouldn’t it be amazing if they all marched into Parliament and frog-marched the rorters, the liars, the corrupt out of the building to a people’s court.

And how about setting up an interim government of representatives chosen by the people tasked with amending our Constitution to put the power into the hands of all voters to initiate referendums?

Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

What do you think would be their first act?

If they really wanted change the system then wouldn’t it make sense to put the power into the hands of all the people, instead of just leaving it in the hands of the politicians? Because even if they did set up a People’s Parliament consisting of ordinary citizens wouldn’t they want to ensure that the people they choose to govern are answerable to the very people who put them into Parliament? I would, and I am pretty sure a lot of you would too.

The best way to do that would be to hold an immediate referendum to ask the people if they would like to amend Section 128 to give all voters the right to start a referendum….Citizens Initiated Referendums (CIR). If the answer is Yes, and I’m betting it would be, that would change the balance of power immediately, wouldn’t it?

So let’s continue imagining and ask what they could do next. My bet is they would realize that Australia needs a safe, efficient electronic voting system.

And it’s likely that the interim government would also want to reform the electoral system that would eliminate political parties….something like this….as proposed here: Electoral Reform

.

.

After that, it would be up to the people to decide on any future course of action.

What about Taxation Reform?

Or a referendum to ask the Australian people if they would like to create a civil defence militia, something like this: Defence Reform .

Of course, I doubt the people would want to keep an interim government in power long, so my bet would be that an election would be called within a few months, as soon as that electronic voting system was implemented and working under the new system rules.

What do you think? Would you like to see the power in the hands of the Voters to make politicians accountable to us?

So tell us what you think is wrong. Here’s your chance to have your say. Tell us what you think about our current political system, and what changes you would like to make to it.

Please don’t tell us that we are governed by a US-Registered corporation. We are not. That corporation was set up to facilitate trade…nothing more. It is legally impossible for anyone, let alone an elected government, to govern through an offshore registered corporation. Anyone making that claim is just plain ignorant of the law and our Constitution.
